In 2015-16, we used our successful fundraising dollars and spent close to $1 million on doubling the size, renovating the entire library, and adding many new age-appropriate features and areas, cozy reading nooks, study rooms, community meeting room, and much more.  Please visit Murphy Helwig Library to find your favorite cozy spot to read, learn and have fun.

The library is much more than a place to check out books. We have programs and services for everyone in our community. Nice, eager, friendly, highly-trained librarians are standing by, waiting to help you find the information you're looking for. Spend some time browsing the links on the library's website to find suggestions for a good book to read.

We enjoy reading just as much as you do and we'd love to talk to you about books. Stop into the library to see our displays of featured books, or talk to a librarian about what you're reading, or to get ideas on what to read next. Murphy Helwig Library is proud to have a monthly Coffee House on the 1st Tuesday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon.  Everyone is welcome to join in the fun.  Bookworms, our local library support group, often sponsors a speaker from the area at these events.
