The Yellow River is approximately fifty (50) miles long with an average gradient of 7.4 feet per mile, ending up aside Effigy Mounds Monument where it flows into the Mississippi River. There are three main access points on the river:
1) Volney to Sixteen: 5 river miles;
2) Sixteen to Ion: 8 river miles; and,
3) Ion to the Mississippi: 8 river miles.
We offer rentals of canoes, kayaks, and tubes. Your hosts Steve or Marcy (shown at left) are ready to help you for all your inquiries and bookings.
