![]() Eagles Landing Bed & Breakfast is a unique, cedar log-sided timber frame home, built from native oak trees that were harvested, sawed into post and beams, and erected without a single nail or screw; held together by wooden pins. Together, proprietors Roger and Connie Halvorson hand-oiled each piece of timber used, and applied their public service, restaurant and hospitality experience to build their successful bed & breakfast and winery businesses.
The location on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River is a bird watcher's paradise, including landing eagles flying overhead and in trees or fishing from the river itself. Being the only B&B in the area that is located "on the river", our log home and log cabin sit within walking distance from the riverboat casino / entertainment / food / boat rides / boat rentals / state park / national monument / museums at Marquette & McGregor & Froelich, Iowa and across the river in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Eagles Landing Bed & Breakfast is a national award-winning B&B featuring the chef's ethnic Norwegian, German and American four-course breakfasts, and we offer your choice of a complementary bottle of our Eagles Landing Winery's award-winning wine in your room each night. Our two one-bedroom suites are $93/night each and our two-bedroom winery suite is $160/night. Each suite has a private bath, refrigerator, cable TV, complementary coffee/tea/cocoa, and balcony or deck overlooking the Mississippi River where you'll spot the eagles and other wildlife in their natural habitat along the river and bluffs of the Rivers & Bluffs Scenic Byway and Driftless Area Scenic Byway. The front yard of Eagles Landing B&B's main house and log cabin is the Mighty Mississippi River. You may access Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin via the Marquette-Joliet Bridge and the quaint, historic river town of McGregor, Iowa via a one-mile vehicle or bike ride south along the Great River Road. All three towns have many unique, fun, historic, scenic, and interesting things to do and see and taste along your travels. |
