Take your grandchildren for a walk and play-time at the nearby Garden View Park with its new playground and picnic-rest areas, gazebo & memorial park benches scattered along the Butterfly Trail.
GARDEN VIEW PLACE is a 34-unit assisted-living facility with on-site licensed staff, a wide range of optional home services and Enhanced Memory Care services. Our facility is located in Monona, Clayton County, Iowa in the northeastern tip of our great state, in the heart of the naturally-pristine, picturesque and unique Driftless Area.
Our mission here at GARDEN VIEW PLACE is simple — to make sure we do everything possible to enrich the lives of everyone we serve. Each and every person who has become part of our family will be treated with the utmost respect, compassion and dignity. That includes promoting individuality, independence and choice.
One morning we were up "bright and early" to go to the elementary school to read with the children. What a wonderful feeling -- as much as we love and appreciate all those caring individuals who come in to our house to volunteer time -- we can also share our time to help our future leaders from MFL MarMac.
We plan to visit every other Wednesday. And the school can always use more reading volunteers, so we challenge you too to share some time -- contact Heidi Meyer at Monona's elementary school. The school's oldest volunteer, Mrs. Florence Bruns, is shown above listening to a young student read a book to her.
